The US lighting market is renowned for its sophisticated systems and stringent standards. Certification and compliance are key barriers to entry. As the world's second-largest lighting consumer market, the US has meticulous regulations on the safety, energy efficiency, and environmental performance of lighting products, with clear compliance thresholds for every indicator, from electromagnetic compatibility to carbon emissions. In recent years, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission has repeatedly recalled lighting products that failed to meet safety standards. In 2024 alone, over 12 batches of imported lighting were withdrawn from shelves due to circuit design defects and substandard fire performance. The companies involved not only face high recall costs but also face significant damage to their brand reputation. More seriously, if products are released into the market without passing core certification, they may trigger a "market ban," restricting access to the US market for the next three to five years.
TÜV "2024 Global Lighting Product Access Specification" is a recognized authority in the global lighting industry certification field. Common certifications in the US lighting market can be divided into three categories: Electromagnetic Compatibility, exemplified by FCC certification, which applies to all lamps with electronic control modules and ensures they do not interfere with other electronic devices. Safety Certification, including UL and ETL certifications, covers everything from household table lamps to industrial pendant lamps. Energy Efficiency Certification, such as the "Carbon Footprint Label," which will take effect in July 2025, and Energy Star certification, sets grading standards for energy efficiency.

The role of compliance certification in promoting market access is well-established. TÜV "2024 Global Lighting Product Access Specification" states that in the EU market, the access rate for lamps with full lifecycle certification is as high as 78%, 42 percentage points higher than for uncertified products. This data also applies to the US market-certification, in essence, signals product reliability.
For us, the value of compliance certification lies in three dimensions: first, it serves as a gateway to market access; second, it strengthens our competitiveness; and third, it enhances the brand trust. Most importantly, we embed compliance throughout the entire product lifecycle. Leveraging the expertise of our in-house laboratories, every luminaire undergoes rigorous testing that far exceeds industry standards, from R&D and design to mass production. We firmly believe that compliance is a bottom line, not an end point. Only by continuously honing our commitment to compliance can we transform "better quality" from a promise into a tangible quality experience for consumers.
